Wedyan Agricultural Development Company confirmed that what has been achieved on the ground in West Minya—through the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company—reflects a comprehensive national vision for modern agricultural development in Egypt. It serves as a model in managing desert resources and providing integrated services to beneficiaries.

In press remarks following a Wedyan delegation’s visit to inaugurate the new administrative and service complex established by the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company—held in the presence of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transportation), Dr. Alaa Farouk (Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation), Major General Emad Kudwani (Governor of Minya), and Sami Abdel Sadiq (Chairman of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt)—Haytham Al Mallah, Chairman of Wedyan, stated that what he witnessed in West Minya proves the government’s seriousness in empowering the agricultural sector and creating a fully integrated investment environment. He noted that the Egyptian Countryside Company, under the leadership of Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Wahab, has delivered an advanced model for managing state-owned lands and transforming them into world-class production and service zones.

For his part, Amir Allama, Managing Director of Wedyan, praised the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company for resolving the regularization and land-possession issues and for creating an organized, attractive investment climate—one that encourages investors to expand and inject additional capital into desert regions.

The Wedyan delegation pointed out that the integrated services zone established by the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company in West Minya—including a water treatment station, family-medicine unit, school, rest house, and mosque—represents a true shift in the concept of development, encompassing not only agriculture but also community and human services.

Wedyan emphasized that Dr. Eng. Venis Fayed, Advisor to the Chairman of the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company and Head of Business Development & Client Relations, played a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating cooperation between state institutions and committed investors, thereby accelerating the project’s development pace.

Wedyan confirmed its full commitment to the strategic partnership with the New Egyptian Countryside Development Company and to advancing the implementation of productive agricultural projects.
