Wedyan Holds Official Meeting with Minya Governor Emad Kedwaany to Discuss Its Investment Plans

Wedyan Agricultural Development Company convened an official meeting with His Excellency Minya Governor Lieutenant General Emad B. Kedwaany at the governorate’s main offices to review the company’s investment strategy and outline the development projects slated for Minya.

Key Projects Presented

  • Wedian GreenGate: An integrated commercial and industrial hub for collection, processing, and export of agricultural products—designed to strengthen value chains and provide turnkey solutions for farmers and exporters.
  • Wedian GreenFeed: A fully integrated complex for forage production, livestock fattening, and a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse built to the latest global standards, aimed at maximizing value addition.

Phase I Launch

Wedyan confirmed that it has already begun implementation of Phase I in Minya, reclaiming and planting 5,000 feddans with medicinal and aromatic plants alongside strategic food crops. This forms part of a broader plan to promote sustainable agricultural development across the governorate.


Governor’s Support

Governor Emad Kedwaany reviewed several other promising investment opportunities in Minya and reassured the Wedyan team of the governorate’s full support for all serious investors. He pledged to remove any administrative or regulatory hurdles and to facilitate a smooth execution of Wedyan’s projects.


Wedyan’s Commitment

Haytham Al Mallah underscored the Board’s conviction that Upper Egypt offers highly promising investment potential. He reaffirmed Wedyan’s commitment to the state’s goals of securing food security, generating employment, enhancing agricultural and livestock productivity, and boosting Egypt’s export capacity.


With the first phase already underway—and the governor’s pledge to “eliminate all obstacles”—Wedyan is poised to transform West Minya into a model of sustainable, high-value agricultural and industrial development.
